MOUNTAIN BIKING: Yellow River

← GA BARBASHELA CREEK WOODWAY DR NEAR STONE MOUNTAIN GA Single Tracks →

Description

This trail is well maintained by Gwinett County Parks and Rec. Mountian bikers and equestrians cross paths in a few places but the trails are seperate. Please respect the privillege we all share in using this trail. The "River" loop starts with an easy winding single track then runs along the river before begining to climb. The trail gets somewhat technical at this point with several short climbs and descents before returning to the easier flat single track sections. The "Creek" loop is much more difficult and technical. You cross Juhan Rd. and begin to climb the first of two difficult, long climbs. This is rewarded by a fantastic descent with several 2'-4' drop-offs in rapid succession. You end up at the creek, follow it for a senic while before heading up again, then down a straight fast single track with three big drops the last of which you should survey before you try. A fast single track with some short climbs, descents and a couple of stream crossings leads you back to the base of the first climb or your return to the easier "river" loop, Juhan Rd or your car.

Night riding at specific times, with approved leaders only.
